Relatively new to the foreign bride scene, Filipino Cupid has already become popular with western men looking to meet Filipino women online. During our review of the site there were around 2500 members online, which pushes FilipinoCupid towards the top of this category. However, we weren't able to verify the gender balance of active users.

Users already familiar with InternationalCupid.com will notice immediately that FilipinoCupid is surprisingly similar. This is because they are both part of the massive Cupid Media dating network. Apart from some slight differences in design, photos and color scheme, each site on this network is powered by Cupid Media and uses the same template and database. Accordingly, our reviews for all Cupid Media sites tend to be rather similar. Although FilipinoCupid is more popular that even RussianCupid.com, users of each site have access to the same database meaning that in the end, it's the Cupid Media brand that really matters. That said, if it is specifically a Filipino Woman that you are looking for then Filipino Cupid will tailor your searches and match suggestions based on this preference. 

Filipino Cupid is much more like a traditional dating site than your traditional mail order bride service. Rather than purchasing contact details or going on romance tours, users simply create a profile, upload photos and then chat with others using the various tools at their disposal. This includes internal email, instant messages and chat rooms which should cater to all communicative preferences. We especially like the ability to "show interest" as it can be a great way to break the ice, as well as to "test the waters", i.e. to see if there is any potential before signing up to a paid membership. In this sense, Filipino Cupid could be seen as a budget option; simply pay for a profile and the platform and then the rest is up to you. Those on a limited budget will certainly appreciate this approach, however the time poor, or less confident among us may be disappointed, since some advanced features, such as organised tours, are missing from this site.

That said, even the Platinum membership at FilipinoCupid.com is cheaper than most other mail order bride sites and furthermore, what you spend is limited to your monthly payments which is not the case at other sites where users are charged per email address they wish to purchase. Those used to the online dating scene will soon be chatting away and building relationships with like minded Filipino women which could even lead to a trip to go and see that special someone. These days, booking your own travel to the Philippines is relatively easy and along with online communication being accessible to almost all, many are questioning whether romance tours themselves will become a thing of the past. The one feature that almost all will miss is an email translation service. While platinum members at Filipino Cupid do get one, it is an automated service and can't be fully trusted, especially if you have no prior knowledge of the Filipino language. 

Seeing as Filipino Cupid does not organize romance tours, it is worth pointing out that users looking to travel back to their home country with a new Filipino bride will not get any support regarding visa services, which can be a real headache when you're just ready to settle down into marital bliss. While this obviously keeps down costs we do encourage users to be aware of this in order to avoid frustration down the line. 

All in all, we would recommend Filipino Cupid to anyone who is on a budget and does not mind the absence of some of the more useful features that other, more expensive, mail order bride services offer. Those dead set on finding a Filipino bride and willing to put in everything to make it happen should probably go for a more all inclusive service. Nonetheless, seeing as creating a profile on the site is free, we recommend that you at least check out Filipino Cupid, as browsing the profiles of charming Filipino women is always a pleasurable experience.
