There is no joining fee for KievConnections, as there is no membership option, but the cost of services is as follows:

Features of KievConnections.com:

• Based in Kiev, Kiev Connections specialises in matching you with women from the Ukraine.
• Has several hundred Ukrainian women in its database.
• Easily browse the database of women by the latest profiles, age range (18-20, 21-30, over 30) or browse the full database
• Search the database for your ideal match (see the matching options listed below for more info on this)
• Matchmaker option - allows you to select 10 women that you'd like to meet. The agency will then show these women your profile and pictures until they find 5 that are really interested in meeting you. They will then help you organise your visit to Kiev to meet these women.
• Letter forwarding - your letters will be translated and delivered to the woman of your choice. Her letters to you will also be translated back into English. You send your letter, complete with photographs, to Kiev Connections by e-mail. They will then translate, print and deliver your letter and pictures. This makes it faster, cheaper and easier for you to deliver your letters and receive a reply.
• Flower and gift delivery service. Send flowers and/or choose from a range of gifts to send to the women of your choice through KievConnections.
• Although Kiev Connections do not organise foreign tours per se, they can help you organise good-price accommodation, translators and of course introductions to the women of your choice when visiting Kiev.
• Their office's phone number in Kiev is prominantly displayed on their website, so you can call them at any time.

There is no membership option with KievConnections.com. You simply browse the database of women for free and contact Kiev Connections directly in order to purchase one of the services listed above.

Performing a Search on KievConnections.com:

A full search facility is available, allowing members to search by:

• Age range
• Height range
• Weight range
• Number of children
• Eye color
• English ability
• Hair color
• Zodiac sign
• Marital status

Editor's Verdict:

Unlike many other mail order bride websites, KievConnections.com do not offer a membership option to their customers. Instead, you simply freely browse the database of women that they have (or use the search form to perform a detailed search for the woman of your dreams) and then contact Kiev Connections directly in order to purchase one of their services, which include the Matchmaker service, the letter forwarding service, and the gifts delivery service (these are described in the features list above). You will find links to all 3 of these services at the bottom of each profile on the site. The profiles listed display all the characteristics of each woman plus 3 of her photos. Usefully, they also describe how proficient the woman is in English, a vitally important characteristic that far too many mail order bride websites ommit to show.

The search facility is fairly full and easy to use, as is browsing the database by age range (although strangely clicking the 18-20 button does still seem to show many profiles of women who are over 20 years old).

The letter translating and forwarding option seems very competitively priced compared with many similar sites, and we particularly liked the fact that you could simply e-mail your letter and up to 3 photographs to Kiev Connections, who would then print out your letter and pictures and send them by domestic mail. The same can also be done in reverse for the letters she sends back to you, cutting down the time it takes to send a letter and receive a response drastically. It also makes it easier and cheaper for you to send your letters and cuts down the chances that your mail will be stolen from the Ukrainian postal system, as many foreign letters are. Many Ukrainian women are without e-mail, and so snail mail seems to be the only way to go. However, many other mail order bride websites also offer you the chance to communicate with ladies via e-mail if the woman of your choice has supplied an e-mail address. Sadly, this option seems to be unavailable at Kiev Connections. Also, we are not sure how much it costs to send a letter to a woman who is already proficient in English, where the translation service is not required - this is not mentioned on the website and so we assume it is not an option. We therefore conclude that all letters are translated by default. Other features missing from KievConnections are organised foreign tours, and telephone translation (a 3-way conversation between you, the lady of your choice and a translator).

It seems that the primary service offered by Kiev Connections is their Matchmaking service, where you supply them with a list of 10 women, and they show your pictures and profile to these women until they find 5 who are interested in you. They will then organise it so that these women are ready to meet you when you arrive in Kiev - you can meet the first woman on your first day, the second on your second day and so on. At first, this option seems a little pricey at €399.95, but if Kiev Connections can guarantee 5 of your favorite women ready and willing to meet you when you arrive, then who knows, it may prove to be the best $399.95 you ever spent!

It's clear from the KievConnections.com website that they're focusing on a very niche market here of western men wanting to specifically meet women from Kiev. As such, there are far fewer women to choose from in their database than on other larger sites, such as Cherry Blossoms. However, you will also have less competition on Kiev Connections than you would on a larger site. It is also clear that with Kiev Connections, you get that personal touch, where they really strive to match you up with the girl of your dreams. Kiev Connections is on the Gold List of some very respected anti-scam sites on the internet as well as being highly regarded by many other marriage agency review sites.

Though it lacks many features supplied by some of the larger mail order bride websites and has a smaller database targeting a highly specific market, we highly recommend Kiev Connections for its reliability and for that all-important personal touch, which may prove invaluable when searching for a bride in a foreign country.
