...and the 2% real women are easily rekognized: They are ugly!
I entered a profile (for free) Friday night, and left the site again Monday afternoon. I was sceptical beforehand, so I made my profile uninteresting and even a bit hostile. But I was still bombarded with letters from 100 - 200 women all the way down to 18 years old. It was obvious that each woman has a standard introduction letter that she (or some programmer named Sergei? or an app on the server?) sends you, hoping for a reply. And your reply is free. You only pay when she sends her 2nd letter to you.
I wasn't really going to answer anyone, but anyway I took my chances with one woman whose introduction letter was well written (but by who?) I then paid $100 for 100 'credits' so I could open her letter at 5.75 credits. I was shocked to see that this letter was just another introduction letter! Completely unpersonal, stating the trivial facts of what she liked to do (reading books in the first letter, hiking in the mountains in the second. Wow what a versatile girl I just found there!)
By the way, this site has a Trust feature, where many women have a 'trust percentage' calculated. This woman was one of the trustworthy ones - at 96%! Boy would I not like to mess with a 40% bitch!!
This site is only one in a series that I have visited in the past year or so - I have not reviewed the others. But I find the tendency quite alarming. The scamming has clearly moved away from individual entrepenant and evil witches, and towards whole sites built around throwing beautiful and willing women in your face, exploiting your warm heart and sad loneliness and cheating you for dollars. I guess many of the site women get a few rubles or grivnas everytime you pay $10, but the real moneymakers are web site owners in the USA, Canada and elsewhere. Also, I fear that the whole operation could be done without real women: Just a photo session of a good-looking Russian girl, a braindead introduction letter, and money can be made.
My advice is: Get out of any dating site where you are flooded with letters within 24 hours after entering your profile. Single Baltic Lady is a prime example of such a site, but unfortunately not the only one.
In all fairness, I received a refund of my 100$ after complaining on the online chat service.
In summary, I would not recommend Single Baltic Lady to a friend.
