I was on Russia Euro some years ago and recently joined Russia Cupid. I married somebody from the old site and yes it's come to grief because I did it on the rebound so I don't blame her or Russia Euro.

The naivety of my fellow men astounds me. The old adage 'a fool and his money are soon parted' is so true here. Those who lose all this cash must be totally smitten or desperate! Lots of pretty girls contacted me, some may be genuine, some not, but the scammers are usually scared off when they realise I went to Russia and Ukraine many times and no, I'm not going to send money to them or a third party for translation fees.

That said the scamming seems to be worse now since the financial crash and the war in Ukraine. My advice is get a phone number. Women who want to talk to you by phone or skype are hopefully genuine. The scammers haven't time to talk. when a woman never answers your questions in a lengthy letter its always suspicious. Scamming is their business not writing letters or chatting. Added to that I am always suspicious of some of the photos on this site. Furthermore, what genuine and respectable Russian or Ukrainian women sends pictures of themselves semi naked in their first email.

Meet if at all possible in a third country. Most of the educated women have been abroad before and can get a Shengen visa or you could go to Turkey where the visa is bought at the airport. Don't send cash for anything. Buy plane tickets for them on-line. That way they never have the cash and nobody else can use the tickets. If you do realise the person isn't for you within 5 minutes of meeting you can have a nice holiday with a charming companion and chalk it up to experience.

Just take a chance but keep your wits about you.

In summary, I would recommend Russian Cupid to a friend.
