A man can find a quality woman on Cherry Blossom, but it's very difficult. The chances that sparks will be flying are low. First off, you are 50, she is 25. That is not a recipe for sparks, unbridled passion. Filipinos are very passive people, low energy. Don't let the American-born ones sway you. Those girls are hip, sassy, and sexy/spunky. Most Pinay (Filipinas) are poor, docile, unsophisticated, not curious about much. They wouldn't be spunky and alive around cute 25 year old Western men, so you aren't going to turn them on, ever going to make them lively. Sure, if you're an oral sex expert, you will be more successful, but what we are doing here that needs mentioning is: we are trading economic security for youth/beauty.

I am sure many Western men just want companionship with an English-speaking lady, and are grateful for anything else. If you are expecting the Pinay to be super-happy around you for two weeks, and making love constantly, you're going to be disappointed. Don't spend 24 hours a day together. Heck, married couples in the US spend about 15 minutes A DAY speaking together. Make a detailed plan to do solo sight-seeing, take up scuba diving etc. Thailand is set-up nicely for tourists, is smooth, the Philippines much less so. If you wing it, you'll hate the country.

I strongly suggest being very honest, guys. If you are a sales associate, don't claim you are a CEO. If you are a teacher's aide, don't say you are a professor. If you rent an apartment, don't claim to be a landlord. If you drive a 2007 Mitsubishi Lancer, don't say you have a 2015 Rolls. Don't say you weigh 190 when you are 230. Don't say you rarely drink if you booze five days a week.

Remember you are worthy of love and attention. Just because she is 22 and gorgeous, and you are 49 and bald, don't let yourself be used, treated poorly. Some ladies tried to bring all their co-workers to dinner, some claim they need a certain friend who speaks perfect English. I got burned by this a few times, and learned to say "They can come, but I'm only paying for you." Funny how they never came. One girl never would be alone with me, not even in a restaurant, and after a 10 people lunch, I put my foot down on a dance club. "You expect me to pay the entrance fee for 10 people?! Nope."

Try to get to know many girls before you go, but lie if they ask if there are others. I spent a lot of time chatting on YM with cam, phone calls, with two girls. Both got tired of me in person after a few days. It said a lot more about them than me. Another girl talked a good game online, but when I got to Cebu, she cancelled our date because of 'intramural basketball.' Some girls cannot comprehend the time difference, they think it's the same time all over the world. One girl called my house and left a vulgar voicemail because she didn't comprehend that flying across the world takes about 35 hours. She thought I was bedding hookers in Manila while she waited in Davao. I may have been halfway across the Pacific, not even to Japan yet!

It's also very humid in the Philippines. The only other place comparable I've experienced is Japan. YOU might get annoyed and unpleasant due to it. Consider how she is going to fare in Philadelphia,,,in the dead of winter. I don't get the runs like I do in Thailand or Mexico, but I always got a runny nose, blowing the sucker 100 times a day.

I suggest renting a karaoke room for the family of the girl. You can get almost unlimited food and drink (all-consumable) for peanuts. Don't get breakfast at your hotel, it is very expensive. Go to a street vendor and get warm banana rice for 25 cents.

Before I forget, I will be random but this is true and important. Men in the Philippines cheat on their wives/girlfriends like crazy, over 90% of them! And it makes the women batshit crazy. They dont trust men, they automatically will not trust you.

In summary, I would not recommend Cherry Blossoms to a friend.
