I'm not entirely sure what most of the one star raters were expecting. Back in the day, mingling with women from foreign would not even be an option unless you happen to have jet money or you don't mind waiting weeks for snail mail correspondences. All the international dating services I've tried AnasDate, RussDate and the like pretty much do the same thing offered the same way only presented differently.

I've been on Dream-Marriage for about 4 months now and all's fair in love and war. Sure there are some dodgy girls. Tends to happen when you go after something too good to be true, but for the most part, the Ukrainian girls are sweethearts. The video chat is the key. All women know how to angle, paint and snap a picture. There's no hiding on video though. You can tell pretty quick if she is who she says she is and whether or not she is trying to make an effort to start something serious.

I'm on Dream-Marriage mostly because I figure it's not completely overrun with yuppies, who attract the money grubbers. The prices are a bit high, but whenever I have a problem I just let customer service... (Read the full review)

Ok, So I am a girl using Dream Marriage. I would like to tell how it is from my side!!! I am 25. I cannot tell that I am preoccupied with marriage, but If I met a person whom I liked, I would really marry. Because I remember a scene from my favorite tv show "Friends" where Rachel celebrated her 30 and realized that she had to meet already that man to move according to plan. The same is with me. I know English, so I don't want to limit me with any borders. Free of charge sites are all in annoying Turks and Arabic men. I have nothing against them, I can admit me to be with one but I wish there were allowed sex before marriage in order they wouldn't be that crazy:) All there more, there are a lot of freaks in the world. I don't give to know on site that I know English, I want to be protected,and I would like to have first meeting with some people around. If I am sure that person is adequate no problem at all. I am native Russian speaker. I joined this site just for fun. To be honest I pressed link with gorgeous women and was taken to dream marriage.
First of all the photos of girls on the site are professionally made, edited with Photoshop. In real life those girls don't look as gorgeous as on this site. So lads don't dream about model wife.

Second thing if the girl is real, she will exchange contact details with you, without wasting your money. In my case only one did out of 30. And don't be stupid, if 20 year old gorgeous girl writes to 50 year old guy that she is very attracted to him she is telling lies. Just read some PUA books and you will know.
And the last thing. If you really like the girl on mail order bride site. Try to look for her on Mamba it's the biggest dating site for Russian speakers and it's FREE. If you didn't find her there try search on VK or Odnoklassniki both are Russian versions of Facebook and FREE as well. Do a bit research and you will find the right sites. I have the same experiences as the worst stuff, here, though I do not blame the girls. Many are just plain desperate.

I had $1,200 stolen from my card (SEVEN x $199 for one transaction) last April. It took me six months, but I got the money back.

Now, I have two sincere women who are real, and with whom I talk and e-mail -- no chats, no talk of money. I got lucky, in this sense, because the "site" has a vested interest in delaying, or outright preventing ANY successes.

Now, I have an attorney, who will be pursuing D-M for fraud, on top of the $1200 theft. Join in, if you'd like -- more plaintiffs, more evidence.

I have used Dream Marriage for a couple of months. I believe that some of it is legit, but as another reviewer said, they are there to make money, as are many of the women. I would suggest that someone who was seriously interested in actually meeting or marrying one, to first look at the profiles and read them carefully. Be realistic. If you are an older guy, as I am, look for profiles of women closer to your age. There are some very attractive older women, who are divorced, widowed, etc., and when they write, their letters are much more grounded, realistic and seem to indicate a more legitimate search on their part. Save the profiles and photos in individual folders on your HD or thumb drive, so that you can go back to them often without going to the site. Then pick a few to write to, and hope that they are really looking to. Some of them are, especially the older women, who also are often professional and not disco girls.

It is entirely up to you. What value do YOU place on finding your partner. You need to be honest, realistic and open. I received a letter from Yulia in Zaporozhye, we corresponded for 8 months, met in Ukraine, lived together for 3 months on a tourist visa in Australia and were married in Zaporozhye in August of this year. The most beautiful woman I have ever met, within and to the eye. How would I make a bad comment about Dream Marriage? Yes, there are some aspects of the site that I don't like, but the site exists to make money. Some of the people making money are the girls. Some of the ladies are genuine. You have to use your common sense (which is of course, relative) to weed out the good from the bad. How can anyone expect the site administrators to do that? Those that condemn are mostly men who who expect everything to be done FOR them rather than doing a little bit for themselves. Scam,scam and more scam. They will steal your money! Very bad site and the only good point I can give you is stay away. The stars I have put on are a mistake, do not trust this site.

Hi guys, i've been on dream marriage using 2 accounts : on the first i am described as a sensitive and romatic man, and the second as a funny boy wanting to party with girls. of course i recieved a ton of letters, and of course the 2 guys, the 2 accounts recieved the same letters, from the same girls. EXACTLY the same letters ! i started communication with about 20 girls, choosen from 600 letters recieved.
i selected some underwears girls profiles, and some well dressed girls profiled.

Dont forget ! the girls are real ! you can see them on chat !
Pay attention, some of the girls seems seated on their chair,
on a weird way , huuuummm this is when they do not use the keyboard themselves, another person is typing for them.

The way this site and similar sites work is that the girls get a small percentage of what you spend on the site. Therefore it is al about getting you to use the features on the site which require "credits".

The girls are real enough, but because they get paid to chat with you, you can never believe anything they say. Its all about keeping you interested so that you will spend more on talking to them and they will earn more.

But seriously guys, what did you really expect? Do you seriously think that Ukraine is full of thousands of young beautiful model type girls, which only wish in life is to marry a foreigner who is 30 years older and too ugly, too old, or just generally not charming enough to find a local girlfriend the old fashinoed way?

You can only cheat those who want to be cheated.

If you still dont believe this is a scam, then try this:

Open a profile were you describe yourself in the worst possible way. Old, overweight, short, etc.

And I guarantee you that literaly in minutes you will be bombarded by emails from girls who just find your profile sooo perfect for them. (Read the full review)

I would like to tell you a brief but true story of something that happened to me while I was at another site now called Anastasia Date. There was a blonde girl there named Nataliya close to my age and I saw that she had written me a letter and that she was online!

Okay so far so good but I decided to open up another Internet Explorer Window and do a little browsing and I stumbled upon the Dream Marriage website. When I came on the website ladies started instant messaging me to chat though I am not even logged in as a member on the site but I was logged on the Anastasia site.

I decided to browse through some profiles and lo and behold there was the same girl Nataliya online on Dream Marriage at the same time online at Anastasia. I was confused and so I contacted the Anastasia customer help site and asked them about this and asked them how could that be possible since it did not make much sense to me!
