I was a member of Russian Cupid site for 2 days . I create profile add my passport to prove I am real and I was verified and approved. I enter site saw that my profile is visible send couple winks and reply 2 men who wrote me and after 20 minutes my profile was deactivated. Why? I am real person, I sent my passport and I wrote only 2 letters on that site. The reason they say was my IP. When I google what is IP I had 3 links to check IP and you know they all showed the same IP number but different location and only one showed my real location so I want to ask manager of Cupid site, are you sure your IP checker work correct? Why you deactivate people who are real and have passport added to your site and fakes with not verified profiles use your site for many years. Maybe it is you create fakes yourself? Why you deactivate real people? If you will be doing it you will never have real people in your site. Think about that.

In summary, I would not recommend Russian Cupid to a friend.

CUPID Network is a conglomerate of scamming sites
23 April 2015
Reviewer: Burch from NY

Yes, I completely agree about Russian Cupid. SCAM! Russian Cupid is part of a large Cupid conglomerate that is only interested in making money. They don't care about protecting the members, just duping them. In the one month I used Russian Cupid, I did not meet a single legit Eastern European woman and I doubt any more time on that site will help.

In summary, I would not recommend Russian Cupid to a friend.

Not a fan - more scammers than real women
30 January 2015
Reviewer: Jayeg from USA

I am not a fan of RussianCupid. There are too many women giving away their email addresses in the first communication and the photos are so unnatural and fake. The messages sound canned and vagued. Not a good experience. Stay away. I have tried LuckyLovers. It's clunkier to use but most of the profiles there seem natural and real. And it's been around a long time, maybe over a decade so it seems more trustworthy.

In summary, I would not recommend Russian Cupid to a friend.

I joined this site 2 days ago. I am a gunuine guy looking for a nice easten euro girl. I had no bad intentions. I am not committing any fraud! I used real pictures and real information. It was a legitimate profile I made!

I was about to upgrade my account to gold memeber when out of the blue my account was suspended with no explanation! I sent Russiancupid an email asking why they would do such a thing and I never got a response!

So I made another profile that you can sign in using facebook. That profile was also deleted in a matter of seconds!

I am disgusted with this site! just rubbish! stay away people!

In summary, I would not recommend Russian Cupid to a friend.

Your profile is altered on the girl's side in Russia
19 July 2014
Reviewer: Hijacked from Atlantic City, NJ, USA

I found out that RussianCupid allows your profile to be altered on the girls side. I obtained the URL of the Russian version of my profile (the profile the girls see) and saw that my self-description essay had been rewritten with a Russian male's name inserted.

It took me three days to get a response to my complaint from RussianCupid - who told me my site must be getting hacked and told me to change my email and password. But when I click on the URL of the russian version of my profile I find the same thing. Even after I submitted a new self-description essay my profile stayed the same - the russian version of my profile did not reflect my new changes to my profile.

So the russian version of my profile is using my photos and demographic information I submitted with a different self-description essay written with another's man name inserted.

In summary, I would not recommend Russian Cupid to a friend.

Take a chance?

I was on Russia Euro some years ago and recently joined Russia Cupid. I married somebody from the old site and yes it's come to grief because I did it on the rebound so I don't blame her or Russia Euro.

The naivety of my fellow men astounds me. The old adage 'a fool and his money are soon parted' is so true here. Those who lose all this cash must be totally smitten or desperate! Lots of pretty girls contacted me, some may be genuine, some not, but the scammers are usually scared off when they realise I went to Russia and Ukraine many times and no, I'm not going to send money to them or a third party for translation fees.

That said the scamming seems to be worse now since the financial crash and the war in Ukraine. My advice is get a phone number. Women who want to talk to you by phone or skype are hopefully genuine. The scammers haven't time to talk. when a woman never answers your questions in a lengthy letter its always suspicious. Scamming is their business not writing letters or chatting. Added to that I am always suspicious of some... (Read the full review)

Be yourself, but be reasonable about what to expect

I have been using RussianCupid since about 2006, when it was known as RussianEuro. Back then, there was a chat room feature available kind of like Yahoo Chat has. I'd say in terms of number of members and people differences, your particular interests are more likely to find you someone that fits you better.

There are certainly a lot of scammers on this site, but there are scammers on every dating site, even American ones. I've run into some Ghana and Nigerian scammers, but usually they try to get on chat and immediately disclose that they are in Ghana/Nigeria now and that their home is back in Russia or Ukraine. You just have to be wise. If someone immediately asks for your email address to "exchange photos", 99% of the time it's a scammer. It's rare nowadays that you'll find someone who asks for money on the actual site. The scammers have gotten "smarter" too, because they get immediately reported. That's another thing - try to keep the site better by reporting abuse on anyone that immediately asks for your email address to "share photos" or someone that says they're in another country now even though their profile says otherwise. Look but be careful!

I have been using this site for several months. The people I have talked to are real and not scammers. Yes, there may be scammers on this site . I don't doubt that and you have to be careful for all sites. It helps that I speak Russian. In a scam site most of the women are beautiful . This site has its share of normal, homely women. I have encountered scammers on other sites as well. most of the woman , at least, those over 40 seem to be legitimate. I look for the cute ones not the drop dead beautiful ones. You just have to be careful and use your common sense. Needless to say send no money to anyone.

In summary, I would recommend Russian Cupid to a friend.

95% controlled by lugansk mafia

Hi

I have been a member on this site for 5 years - I have NEVER met a woman face to face - I have now been scammed out of £1,000 in total

I am good looking and single

Russian Cupid is the most important search engine for russian women - the problem is the site is totally dominated by Lugansk-Kharkiv Mafia - I would say two major mafia groups control 95-98% of the site - ALL profiles under 33 are ALL false
They get the photos of the girls - forcing them to collaborate - and ALL correspondence is written by the Agency - the girl does not exist
They read your correspondence ( men ) identify your weak points, build up the " love " and invariably you will want to meet - and that is where the scam starts
It is USD 300 for an international passport, USD 500 for a visa and USD 600 for a plane ticket
It is all a scam - the girls do not exist, the letter are all written by MEN in the Agencies
And it is getting worse
The reason why you dont get answers is if you are deemed to be intelligent and not give money out... (Read the full review)

Met a girl named Katia, if that's really her name. We spoke on the phone several times, even sent me fake passport and plane ticket scans. Do not use this site, there are some convincing and pro scammers on it.

In summary, I would not recommend Russian Cupid to a friend.
