Phony as they come

Considering the number of scammers on the free sites, I decided to try the so called "executive service" offered by foreign affair. Only $15000. For that they want a list of preferred women and they do the rest. The problem is the women most of us prefer are just models. They aren't women looking for husbands. Check it out yourself. Google the self description text and you will find it posted all over the internet. The pictures will also be seen under different names and different descriptions. Are the fat girls legit? I don't know, I didn't check them out. Let me ask you the question, who is going to pay $15000 for a fat Russian?

In summary, I would not recommend Love Me to a friend.

Didn't try a tour, just used online website

I used only the letter system they have on the website....well in the first place it's outrageously expensive, for one thing 5.95$ per letter on top of your membership. Secondly, most if not all the girls on here are scammers. I know this because I can speak fluent Russian and I have a VK (VK is like the Russian facebook) account. All of the girls who wrote me first, I would go onto VK and search their exact perimeters. none of them showed up, and secondly half of them had non-Ukrainian/Russian names. And then when you write them back for their exact e-mail ( keep in mind I can speak the language) they say they only communicate through the website. So obviously something doesn't add up. If you also want to test it, ask them for their skype username. Sometimes they'll add you but will never video chat, other times they'll say they don't have a skype. when you ask a direct question they will not answer it directly...I almost guarantee it's the agency writing the letters back. Here's some examples of the "opening letter subjects" I received.

"Do you like big breast?"
"I want you to have my virginity"
"Take my sexuality"

It's... (Read the full review)

A successful outcome can be highly unlikely

I have found that AFA or loveme.com is essentially and primarily focused toward getting men signed up to travel on one of their tours. This is their speciality and likely to be their best offering with the opportunity provided to meet many different ladies in a short space of time. However, if you do not wish to take a tour but instead write to ladies, with the view or intention to arrange a future individual visit, then please be aware of the following points:

1. AFA 'local offices' are professional in all that they do and adopt sneaky tactics and practices bordering on 'illegal' to extract as much money from you as possible whilst letters are exchanged and they will control every aspect of the communication tightly using IMBRA (a US law valid only for US Citizens and not valid for use in any other countries) as an excuse and 'official' line.

2. Certain AFA offices can sometimes suggest a makeover service for the ladies and then use the 'airbrushed' photos to make the ladies look much more attractive than they really are..

3. Profiles featured on site can be up to 5 years old with photos unchanged.

4. In reality certain ladies appearance... (Read the full review)

Why is there no "scull" possibility. This site is a scam!

I have come to this conclusion: the AFA site, loveme.com, is a scam. There are no women interested in one on one communication and they ALL insist to keep the correspondence within the site. Like they have no knowledge of free E-mail like Gmail, Hotmail or Yahoo!

I give this site a scull, not one star, not zero star; A SCULL! Stay away from it! You will only lose money if you try it.

I will never use AFA again!

I can't by any means recommend it!

I strongly recommend you stay away from it!

The sole purpose of this site seems to get money of you.

In summary, I would not recommend Love Me to a friend.

Try this experiment and you will find out that it's a scam

Guys,

Don't waste your money or your time. This is my experience. I came to AFA with an open mind and ready to find a nice Asian lady. I checked the box on my profile that says "Do not send introductory letters" which is supposed to mean don't send me any letters without the lady's permission! I'm sure that many of these ladies don't even exist. But I continued with the service and ran a little EXPERIMENT. Below is what happened.

EXPERIMENT 1

I signed up for the Platinum service and ordered 18 virtual addresses so my letters could be sent to the ladies personal email address (no agency involved). Out of those 18 ladies, 13 of them were ladies that had SUPPOSEDLY written to me FIRST. I had letters in my agency inbox from them. I wrote very nice letters to these ladies and wrote subject lines like "Hello Juan! You wrote to me at the agency :)" I waited 6 weeks and did not receive even one reply. I find that very strange that not even one lady (that had previously written to me) would be interested in reading my letter. ... (Read the full review)

Yes, I tried it with $$$$ spent

Wow, I wish I had researched AFA before I spent $$$ with them. Almost every negative comment in these reviews that I have read brings me to say "yes-- that happened to me too". Sorry to sound vain, but I have always been considered a handsome man, well educated, have a good job, and am financially secure. With a broken heart after decades with the same spouse, naive, and somewhat shy the AFA site provided a wonderful boost of self-confidence for me. I truly believed all these young beautiful girls were interested in me and were writing me these flirty letters. So after funding my letter writing in $100 increments to only those who supposedly wrote me first I was on my way to finding that special someone.

What I thought was a tender connection with one lady seemed especially promising. So I wrote to her that I was coming on a tour. After 6 months of sending and receiving her letters, it stopped immediately. Like others have shared, some other irregularities with pictures sent that were already on her profile site, and not answering my questions, etc. should have raised... (Read the full review)

Loveme and ChnLove Date are filled with scams?

I was and am looking for Chinese ladies, so I picked up LoveMe. I picked them because they are an American company, and I know that other marriage agencies, especially the Russians are terrible, filled with cheating. So I started corresponding with a Chinese lady from Chongqing. She immediately suggested to me to come visit her, and in two letters she right away was talking about marrying me. So I decided to buy her virtual e-mail, but despite of this she did not reply to my personal e-mail that was reported to her, she sent her next reply to LoveMe (buy it for another $9.99). But then I found her on ChineseLoveLinks as well, and since I have there unlimited message numbers for several months, I sent her a letter from there, too. No reply, since then she did not open her mail box at ChineseLoveLinks (which is, by the way an honest and respectable agency, at least in my opinion). So, I think, the situation is clear. I am not sure that this lady exists at all, all this might have been the action of a translator.

A similar situation at ChnLove Date. You need to know, there you are... (Read the full review)

Terrible experience

Letters you receive back are NOT genuine replies.

What is supposed to happen is the "translator" reads out your letter over the phone and the lady then replies back and then the "translator" creates a letter.

But the "translator" isn't actually translating what the lady has said. The "translator" will say things that the lady has never actually said just to pad out the letter with lots of "added extras".

So this isn't genuine correspondence with the lady at all. You're basically paying $9.99 (sometimes more) per letter to correspond with the "translator", not the lady.

In addition, many times you are forced to pay for attached photos if you wish to open a letter. There is no option NOT to pay for a photo.

I spent a lot of money over a 3 month period on the "letter" translation service until I realised what was going on. I always had my suspicions but I kept on writing hoping that I really was communicating with the woman.

I contacted the president of AFA John Adams as customer support ignored all my concerns and managed to receive a full refund, which was good, but I can't replace all the wasted time.

Caveat Emptor - Beware of this site!

I spent about $100 writing a girl from Colombia on their site. She wrote me back but never answered my questions and never gave any specific information about herself. I purchased her email address ($12) and sent 3 messages but never got a reply. I then sent another message through their service and received a response with another email address and the message "Let's keep communicating!". All of her messages were written in English. I sent two messages to that address with no reply from her. The only responses I received were through their service.

In my opinion, this is a scam, It costs 6-9 dollars per message through their site. I think this is one way they make $. I doubt the girl in the photo ever saw my messages.

Also, if you select a woman who is not on the new members list you will not know how long she has been on the site. I have seen the same profiles for many years. You must select a woman from the newest members list on the bottom of the front page. (Even then you do not know where the photo and profile came from!) It is very easy to find... To be fair, I was very open minded about this site. I know a lot of these sites are scams. A Foreign Affair seemed to be legitimate and had no bad reviews I could see at the time. However, my experiences in emailing people were pretty disappointing. No sooner do you set up a profile, you start getting dozens of letters. I reviewed the profiles and even unlocked a few that seemed interesting ($6 a pop mind you, if they "write" you). After thinking about it awhile, I decided to write a few of them, to see if anything interesting might develop. What's funny is all letter seem to be answered in the same time frame, around 24 hours. Most of the replies are completely stupid and pretty much just a rehash of the things written in their profiles, they don't respond to any questions you ask and the letters don't say anything essentially meaningful. Oh, and they inevitably attach a couple photos from the same photo shoot as their profile photos, which are an additional $3.50 per photo on top of the $10 for reading the reply. There is...
