I am a retired American professional gentleman in my sixties. I have had excellent success with Cherry Blossoms. I was able to choose a wonderful companion from many with great potential.

Here are my tips. Join at least two month before your planned trip to the Philippines. Write a long profile telling about yourself and your plans for the future with the lady of your dreams. If you do not plan to marry, say that you do not. Many of these ladies will not care as they are separated from their husbands and there is no divorce in the Philippines. Plan to look for ladies no more than about twelve years younger than yourself. Many ladies in their fifties are still very attractive. They are more likely to be sincere and to accept a relationship without marriage than will younger ladies. They already have grown children. Look for ladies who are not currently working. They will have time to be with you 24/7. Look for ladies whose educational level is approximately equal to your own, or who at least have a bachelor's degree if you have a graduate degree.

For privacy, I did not post my photo. I would send my photo by regular email when I found a lady and we had mutual interest in getting to know each other. I would ask for her phone number in the first chat and phone her (very low per minute charge on my phone company's pre-arranged international plan) during the first chat to find out her English skills first hand. The call need not last more than five minutes. Most of the ladies were shy on the first call, but it was easy to learn how well they spoke English if you are prepared with questions about easy topics, such as their extended families.

I learned that online chatting every night was a waste of time unless the lady had more to say than how much she loved me, although we had never met.

It is easy to learn the code words in a lady's profile to find out whether she is sensually oriented. For example, "playful" is positive. "God fearing" is not. Interested ladies will discuss what bedroom activities they like by the second online chat, or even during the first chat.

Find out the lady's other recreational preferences. If you want a companion for a beach vacation, find out if that interests her.

I found more than one suitable lady online. I made a date with one of them for the day of my arrival in Manila. I took with me contact information for others. Within a few minutes of sitting down to dinner we both knew that we wanted to spend a three-week beach vacation together. She, unlike many CB ladies, can converse easily in English. She enjoys hotel room activities and is content to wait for me on the beach when I go into the water for over an hour. She knows how to play board games so that we have other daytime activities together. We have become very good friends and I plan to visit her at least three times a year for several weeks or months at a time.

In summary, my success was due to finding an English-speaking lady only a few years younger than I who has a university degree, did not expect marriage, and wanted a loving best friend. I was able to choose from over 100 ladies who contacted me, most of whose contacts I did not take time to return. It is much better to pursue the possibility of a relationship with a lady who contacts you as you know she is interested in you, unless she is an obvious fake. The posting of only one photo, professionally taken, and with little information in her profile is a sign that a lady probably is not genuine.

When you meet the right lady, treat her with respect. If she does not ask you to buy her expensive gifts, you know that you have found a good friend. She will translate for you when necessary during your vacation and give you insights as to what is happening around you based on what she hears from the locals in their own language. She will adore you and will not leave your side. You will adore her and learn that the airline flight "through the looking glass" is the pathway to Heaven on Earth.
