I have been using this site for several years now and travelled to Ukraine to meet some of the ladies I corresponded with. I'm from the UK so Ukraine is only 3 hours from me.
I have come to the conclusion, based on my analysis of my correspondences with ladies and meetings that most do not appear genuinely interested in developing a relationship with a foreigner and I agree with some earlier comments on this site that it's quite likely that the ladies work for the agencies who list their profiles.
I have 2 good friends in Ukraine who both speak fluent English and they were separately approached by agencies to write fake letters to foreigners for which they would be paid. One of my friends, who lives in Kiev, said that they offered her good money but she refused on ethical grounds even though she could have done with the money. There are some decent people with integrity in Ukraine!
One of the tell tell signs that ladies are not genuine is that the letters they write are often chain letters which pick a specific topic and ask you some questions. They are written in an impersonal way and often ignore what you have written beforehand so that a dialogue is not established.
Another frequent trait is that the ladies often refuse to leave the site to correspond with a man off line via text messages, email or free chat using something like Skype. Usually the excuse given is that they need the translation services or they don't feel safe off the site which I find implausible.
Thirdly, I have often found that the messages sent are of a sexual nature and quite vulgar. Clearly, the strategy here is to real in weak minded men and naive folk into believing these women find them hot. This is especially implausible when they are 18, 19 or 20 and you are 50. Even in Ukraine, where women do often marry men 20 years old there is a limit and again these messages can be dismissed as fake.
As for meetings, well I've got the impression that this is a money making enterprise by forcing you to use an interpreter and being unwilling to meet you on your own even when you offer to provide a free interpreter (via my friend). Also I noticed that some of the ladies I previously met seemed more interested in getting me to take them to expensive restaurants or trips rather than me.
Having said that, I have met about 3 or 4 decent ladies but unfortunately it didn't work out chemistry wise with these.
RLM Is very much a hit and miss experience and you really have to have your wits about you to avoid being scammed and tricked into communicating with fake ladies.
In summary, I would recommend Russian Love Match to a friend.
