Your experience may vary with Chnlove but it will invariably be an expensive experience, here is why:

I actually met my wife on Chnlove in 2010 and we are still happily married, I also met a bunch of other potential candidates using their agency based services, and then I met some with those agencies but without the help of the website.

Chnlove is sort of an IT provider that caters to mostly western men on one side and Chinese dating agencies in the disguise of translation services on the other side. Chinese women sometimes pay a fee to join the agencies, sometimes not (my wife didn't, she was actually recruited and registered for free, some women I met did pay a few thousand RMB), and most sign a contract agreeing to pay a success fee if they find a suitable husband. In 2010 I heard this success fee was 10K RMB in some agencies and maybe even more in others.

The agencies only have 3 ways to make income, through Chnlove credits of which they get a share (through translation, watching videos, phone calls ...), getting paying women to sign up and through the success fee. Since the latter two are difficult (we... (Read the full review)

About a week into this 'whirlwind' affair where everything seems to be moving on like movie script I realised it WAS a script. This forum and similar confirmed my doubts. Thanks for the heads up guys, you saved me plenny dolla.

Found this site and was immediately overwhelmed by the admirer emails I received from all the beautiful ladies. Having also spent many $$s over the past months I have come to the following conclusions (this is what I just think).

1. Probably about 40% of the ladies are real. I had some include their contact email address in their admirer email and separate emails to them are more genuine (with more natural pictures);

2. I have actually received 'almost' word perfect admirer emails from completely separate ladies that are identical in wording. One lady was on their sister Thailand website and one was on the China one. Conclusion is that, in the main, the ladies do not write the mails.

3. I also believe that the ladies do not initiate the admirer email, the agency just bulk emails to hook guys.

4. It is all designed to keep you spending $$s.. especially with chat.. it is all about making money..

I do not know if Chnlove is a scam or not but I think after being on Chnlove for 3 years and spending thousands of Australian dollars I am qualified to a honest opinion of what I think of Chnlove.

There are many things I do not like about Chnlove but I do not know of a better website.
I think there is possibly of scams on Chnlove.

Chnlove wrote on their website they charge high fees to discourage less wealthy men from using their services. I think Chnlove is just very greed for money.

I wrote to one lady and we communicated through QQ International to save money. She did not look anything like her profile photograph. She was rather fat. I know some of the profile photographs are photo-shopped but I have also received some natural photographs from some of the ladies from their holidays or visits to places. I think all ladies should be able to purchase a cheap camera and send some natural photographs. I question the age of some of the photographs shown on the Chnlove website and possibly also some of the natural photographs.

A high-quality, professional site with top-notch girls from China. The translators from the agencies to some extent help me in my communication with the ladies. A lot of the profile pics are photoshopped, but not extremely so so that's not really a problem. They just want to look more beautiful and I can accept that.

What I think is dating online is just like dating face-to-face. The only difference is the cost is a little higher. But it's easier to find someone who really matches your personality because of the search function, and it's easier to finish a relationship if she's not the one for you as you don't have to face looking her in the eye when telling her it's over. But all good things come with a price -- the price ChnLove charge. Although I think it's a little over-priced, probably like most of you, but it's worth it. You get professionals who help you look for that special someone and guide you all the way, which you will need cos you're dealing with different cultures and languages. What you pay for is not only to communicate with the girls who are compatible, the process of finding the right woman, which includes communicating to them, also costs, just like dating face-to-face costs. And there will be scammers -- even in real-life dating, there will be scammers -- there will be girls who will date you for your money, you can get gold-diggers in real life who bleed you dry too. I totally agree all these other review , saying chnlove website is a scam.

1) Why would all these young hot looking chics would like to look for someone who is age range from 22-70 years old?? come on 70 years old!! is those super hot chic ( photo shop modify) in china really need to date 70 years old??? there are 7 billion chinese their in mainland china, all these hot looking chic can't find a rich man or decent guy!? are these chic so desperate that they need to date a 70 years old man from overseas???

2) all these chic introduction letter are basically throwing themselves at you, flirting, saying they love you.. if you sent them email they will reply with a e-gift say " I love you" . Would a hot looking chic in your country tell you they love you in the first letter without knowing you at all??

3) look at all the testimony or success story cases photo. None of them real life photo look anywhere like the display photo. Hate to be mean, but all the success story is a westerner with a asian lady much older and much less attractive.... (Read the full review)

You see the pictures are there, so you are thinking you can pay for chatting with them? What a joke! You are just chatting with the translators. Do not worry, the translators will make you feel fun and great. Because they are trained and paid for doing their job!

I am Chinese Canadian, did some further investigation shows the agents just hiring someone can read English and that is all. You will pay for chatting to talk with someone about the weather. You will feel you are chatting with a beautiful girl...

No problem if you just want to pay for weather chatting, lol

This website is a scam - below is a complaint that I wrote to them:

TO CHNLOVE.COM: In the past, I have spent hundreds of Australian dollars communicating with women on your website and 47 messages are waiting for my response. Of all the responses that I have had, I have only had a few responses that are genuinely from women looking for love - the rest are from translators employed by agencies impersonating women using fake profiles, so I have already been scammed out of alot of money by chnlove.com. I therefore am wanting to communicate with the rare few women that are genuine which is why I want to buy more credits. If chnlove.com won't allow me to communicate with these genuine women after you have already scammed me out of hundreds of dollars using fake profiles and dishonest translators, then I demand that all my money be returned to me. Its bad enough that I have been scammed out of so much money already, but to deny me access to the genuine ladies is an even bigger insult. Your website needs to learn how to be honest and decent before it takes money from customers.

I have spent over $800.oo on this site writting letters to girls on this site. All of the girls that I wrote to were very nice and very responsive. They all wrote about how they want to leave China, because they have no attachments and that they would love to live in America. They always write what you want to read. In fact, I now think that it is guys writting the letters back, because many of the letters are too perfect. Oh and they will continue to send pictures to add to the lure. So, if you want to pay money for sweet letters, this is the place to pay and pay and pay. I did!!

Now, here is the kicker. When I told these girls that I was traveling to China and I wanted to visit them, all of a sudden everything went haywire. LOL!! One girl that worked in a dress shop in Changsha, Hunan, China said that she was going to be on a business trip on that exact week and would not be available.
