AfricanBeauties is part of the AnastasiaDate family and as such shares the same features and price scheme as its sister sites such as RussianBrides.com. Consequently, you will find that each of our reviews of these sites differ very little. Although AfricanBeauties.com does have a lot of profiles on it,  browsing them is a chore due to the poorly thought out navigation and messy layout. In general, we were disappointed by this large and bug-ridden mail order bride website. As the name might suggest, it deals only in women from Africa and this is fine, although there are no organized tours to help you meet someone from the site in real life. All in all we think this is a pretty poor site and you can find much better elsewhere.

Before you can even browse any profiles on AfricanBeauties you will be forced into filling out a rather detailed profile so that ladies on the site can see who you are. But you need to be careful  here! At one point it appears that you are required to enter your credit card details to access the free trial when this is actually not the case at all. We recommend users skip this stage and browse the website's catalogue and features before even considering handing over any payment details. 

For getting in touch with other members AfricanBeauties offers the choice of going via the internal email system or using their dedicated instant messaging channel. This is a channel rather than an application so to use it you will have to download an open source instant messaging application. There are instructions for how to do this, but it seems like quite a lot of effort for something that should be achievable in a couple of clicks. However, at least an attempt at providing instant messaging has been made as many sites don’t bother at all.

AfricanBeauties offers a quick search and an "advanced search" engine yet these are probably the most basic search engines we have come across giving users very little criteria with which to narrow down their search. Likewise, we were frustrated by the poor navigation system, which in our case kept forwarding us back to the profile creation stage no matter how much we filled in or what we tried to do. Obviously a site can only be useful if you can actually get at the functionality it provides so we would hope this bug gets fixed pretty soon!

There are many sites out there that are far better than AfricanBeauties. Prices aren’t too bad, but given that we couldn’t even access most of the features we couldn’t recommend investing in credits. On the other hand, the prices of some of the presents are the most extortionate we have ever seen; up to $300 to send her flowers! If you are serious about finding a foreign bride we recommend giving this a miss and checking out some of the sites in our top ten list instead.
