Hi ,
I have been on DM quite a few years and will be cancelling my registration shortly .
In that time I have been to Ukraine , met girls and had some experiences which have allowed me to form a picture of the site .
It is not a cheap site , its expensive which they justify in different ways . The overwhelming majority of profile photos are doctored with photoshop , even the already really good looking girls . This is fact , which you realise when you use webcam or view a video or see a normal photo from a girl .
You will receive a huge number of letters and chat invites but these are done automatically by the site for you to reply to or chat with a girl and so spend money .
I met a girl from Vinnitsa very recently who was online a lot on the site , reason being she is paid to chat to people , to get people to view her on webcam and to dress sexily so they stay talking . She actually has a serious boyfriend . She is encouraged to send photos so you send more back ( spending money ) , she is encouraged to send sexy photos .... milking the cow more with replies .
All communication is controlled by the site , chat , letters etc are all viewed and controlled by the site , once you pay to get a girls information she may send one or 2 emails but you never get to see her on Skype or chat with her elsewhere . You soon find you are back communicating via the site and spending your hard earned cash .
Another issue is fake identities . These are girls you never see on webcam because they don't have one and you only see photos but they are not of the person you are chatting too . I have been in this situation and through relentless asking you eventually see them on a webcam ' borrowed from a friend ' , they sit back from the camera , often in poor light but you find yourself looking at a completely different person . The girl will say something like I coloured my hair , had a hair cut or gained some weight but ... the bone structure of the face will be all wrong and its clearly not the same person . I have sat there whilst the girl categorically says its her and how upset she is that I don't believe whilst all the while I am thinking , jaw is wrong , cheekbones are wrong , nose is completely wrong etc.
In chat with girls as well I have had situations where its clear in the conversation through something that's said that the girl isn't the same , I call this , the stand in situation , basically the girl isn't around so someone from the agency turns on the profile and starts chatting usually banal stuff to avoid giving anything away . I have caught out girls doing this , explained how I caught them out and the girl has either denied it but some , actually admitted they was the translator from the agency .
Meetings in person are also closely managed by the site , with translators representing the agencies and stage managing everything so you never really get to see the girl alone . When I have met girls ....... they have clearly wanted to say something to me but couldn't because of the translator . I can also tell when the girl is going through the motions and when she is upset because she has sympathy for me because I don't know whats really going on ....
When I complained to the site , they just use the line we are legitimate site etc etc . When I threatened to write on sites like this , they threatened to sue me .... despite spending money there I didn't get a good hearing . In my experience when someone immediately goes on the defensive in an aggressive way , you are right in your complaint and they are left trying to scare you off .
Although there are some genuine girls on the site , its not easy being sure who they are . A rule of thumb is , if she is really good looking , its likely she is part of the overall scam .
To any man considering becoming a member of this site , just don't do it . I say that with all honesty and sincerity , save your money .
In summary, I would not recommend Dream Marriage to a friend.
