I read the reviews on here and while most are negative, I still decided to give the agency a chance to see how they compared to another agency in Ukraine. Big mistake. After almost 14 months and a trip to Ukraine, Charming Brides agency just isn't worth it.

I started off as most guys probably do by trying to contact a few ladies on the site. After what I read from others, I thought it would be better to try for video chats instead of letter writing. Basically it was to see if the lady was really interested and make sure it was a lady and not some bloke writing letters. Well, that took far more more effort than it should have just to connect with a girl. Most of the time, the lady was not in town or available or some other reason. However, she was interested in letter writing though but that is not the same as a video chat. I first visited Kharkov in late 2009 and met several women there and subsequently in two other cities. The Main Office on Kharkov is run and owned by Olga. She took about 1 minute to speak with me and very condescending manner. Nonetheless, I didn't go to Ukraine to see her. Irina Samokhina was very professional and has visited the US on at least one occasions. Anna (LNU) was just a new translator, but very helpful in orienting me to restaurants. The owners pushed these girls hard and wants them to charge for everything. She truly runs it like a business and could care less about if a woman finds a potential mate. Everything from the apartments to cell phone rental is done in USD or Euros. She then converts the Euros (what the site charges to exchange letters and the men pay for everything, the applicants or woman don't even pay. On two separate occasions while in Ukraine, I called using my cellphone and then I went online to look at two responses I was waiting for to see if I could meet these women.
