After 12 months of membership on this site I can say with 100% certainty that's it's a scam. (Or at the very least, a very greedy business.)
Frankly, you'd have to be out of your mind to use this site. Especially since there are so many other less expensive sites out there. The main problem with this site is that it takes a long time and a lot of money just to get the point of communicating directly with the women. Before you can do that that though, you've already invested a lot (Between $8- $10 for each letter) and you've probably invested a lot of time creating rapport with the woman just to get to the point where you can "ask for her number." Be prepared to pay about $65 for her contact information too and she likely won't even have an email address.
Remember this is a business which is solely out to make money. Most of the people working there are hardened to love and romance too since they have been doing it for so long. They don't really care if you find a compatible woman or not. What they care about is keeping you communicating with one (or several women) in order for you to keep feeding them money. Are all of the girls fake? No, a certain percentage of them are real. What that percentage is, who knows. But why mess with it in the first place? It's too much money and too much hassle. Use a site where you can write directly to the women and not through a 3rd party. That 3rd party is reading your private letters too and making money off it, so steer clear of this site.
It's a bad idea.
In summary, I would not recommend Charming Brides to a friend.
